L'impasse
"Une impasse est le lieu de mes plus belles inspirations" - Risibles Amours, Milan Kundera.
The word l'impasse means 'the dead end' in French. This series of photos is inspired by the bittersweet dead ends that we are all hardwired to pursue, to a greater or lesser degree. The familiar scripts that play over and over, without really offering deliverance or escape. Shot in December 2020, in a secret château in France, as I left the country for the last time before Britain left the EU.
