Small series created in Winter 2018/19, which I was inspired to shoot after experiencing a growing sense of frustration at the lack of available light, adverse weather and resulting dearth of photographic subject matter. British A Roads are plentiful in number and they take on a curiously lonesome feel at this time of year, in stark contrast to the summer months, when they're often packed with tourists and commuters. They provided the perfect solution to my predicament and the series took on a life of its own.
