Grounded nomad
A body of work spanning 50+ images taken from a limited year of travel as a digital nomad in the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. The images show my initial time in Asia at the beginning of 2020, before I returned back to the UK for the first lockdown. When restrictions lifted over the summer as cases dropped, I made my way to France in a self-contained campervan called Juno. The landscapes I encountered along the way - normally filled with people and life - became increasingly deserted as the year went on. I lived in France for nearly 6 months before the second wave kicked in. I drove back through France to board a ferry back to the UK, a few days before Britain left the EU.
